About the Artist

Fabric Writer Kim Young-rang, who designs and creates fabric products, learned how to sew traditional sculptures as a hobby.

It took a long time to make a sculpture with sewing as a career.

The desire to produce sculptural shears continued, so I started making sculptural shears 4-5 years ago.

It is traditional to sew with materials such as ramie and hemp, but we changed the method to linen and sewing machines and tried to make the design simpler and more modern.

Traditional sculptural beams are often used as simple ornaments, so she made them with the hope that they could be used more practically in everyday life.

As such, it has resulted in elements that fit well into modern houses and commercial spaces such as apartments.

The original sculptural beam is made of scraps of fabric, but Kim Young-rang also uses basic fabric as needed.
In particular, it is easy to manage and is made of linen, a more familiar natural fabric. Linen also has various materials such as weaving method and thickness, so the product information is marked with "various linens."

Artist Kim Young-rang also made a brief sculpture with less decorative elements and a simple design of lumen products in mind.
Instead of reducing the small pieces, we made them with different linen types and thicknesses.

The combination of the subtle beige-toned linen is warm and soft.
It is reminiscent of the warm sunshine of spring spreading subtly in the room through the coverings.
